The teams are divided into groups of four or five in which all play against each other. The standings between the teams will be decided by the number of points. A win results in three points, a draw in one point. If two or more teams have the same number of points the leading team is chosen in the following way:
1. Goal difference.
2. Highest number of goals scored.
3. Result from the match between the teams with the same points.
4. Penalty kicks contes according to FIFA regulations.
The two best teams in each group will advance to Play off A. The other teams in the group will go to the Play off B. All play off games will be decided by the cupsystem, i.e. by direct elimination.
Ties in the playoffs (except eight finals to finals) will be decided by penalty kicks according to FIFA rules. Ties in the eight, quarter and semifinals will be decided by an added 2 x 7 min. of play. Ties in the finals will be decided by adding 2 x 10 min. If the game is not decided in the extra time the match will be decided by penalty kicks according to FIFA rules.
RULES OF THE GAME
The Dana Cup No 1. is played in accordance with the DBU and FIFA regulations. All age classes except B12-11, B12-7 and B11 play with ball size 5, class B12-11, B12-7 and B11 play with ball size 4. According to Danish rules all players must have shinguards. If af team fails to appear at two games all their previous results will be annulled. In questions of interpretations of FIFA rules, the English text applies.
Exceptions 7-a -side- teams - Classes B11, B12-7
- The offside rule is not used.
- The 6 second rule does not apply for getting rid of the ball. It is ok to
purposely kick the ball to the goalkeeper.
- It is valid, from a throw in, to throw directly to your own goalkeeper.
Goal kicks etc.
- It is valid, that goal kicks and free kicks to the defending team within
their own penalty area are legally taken, even if the ball is not kicked
directly out of the penalty area.
- The ball is in play as soon as it has been moved, e.g. if the ball is kicked
into the hands of the goalkeeper then the opposition may move into the
penalty area.
THE JURY OF THE TOURNAMENT
The jury of the tournament consists of 3 members. Protests and penalty matters will behandled by the jury of the tournament. The jury has the right to exclude a teamwhich has not conducted iteself according to the rules or the tournament regulations. The decision of the jury is final.
PROTESTS AND PENALTIES
Match protests must be written and handed over to the Dana Cup No.1 information desk by the responsible leader no later than 30 min after the match conclusion. The protest fee of DKK 300 must be paid at the same time. This fee will be refunded if the jury decides in favour of the protest. A player given a red card will automatically be suspended from the next match it nothing else is decided by the tournament jury. Yellow cards are not accumulated.
The decisions of the referee regarding facts connected with the play are final (FIFA rule no 5). No measures will be taken on protests on decisions mad by referees. Private video footage can not be use in a protest situation.
AGE CONTROL
All teams must present a complete list of all the participating players. The list should be handed over at arrival together with valid identification for each participating player in good time before the first game. You will receive all participants passes after this control. Pleae note that all teams check in at Arena Nord during Monday July 7th. No matter if you are staying at a school or have other accommodation, this is the place where you check in. teams that arrive before Nonday July 7th will be able to do their check-in on Sunday July 6th but be aware of that the Dana Cup shuttle buses do not start to run until Monday July 7th.
PLAYERS AND SUBSTITUTES
There are no limits to the number of players in a team. Each team playing 11-a-side is entitled to use a maximum of 16 players. Teams playing 7-a-side is entitled to use a maximum of 12 players. It is permitted to substitute and reinstate players. Please note that this is not valid for the oldest age categories, B18 and G19, where it's not allowed for substitutes players to re-enter the field. However, such changes should be carried out with the acknowledgement of the referee and only during interrupted play. It is permitted to use a player in more than one team but not in the same age class.
DISPENSATIONS
Dispensations will automatically be given to 2 players per team (participant's list) who are maximum one year older that the age category admits. A third over aged player can participate can be listed. Maximum 2 over aged players on the fields at the same time. In classes B16 and G16 teams from countries that still use the 1st of August-limit (mainly USA and England) may also use players 5 months older than the age class admits."
PLAYING PROGRAMME
Check the playing program for your team. Notice of changes will be given to the team leader on arrival. The tournament jury reserves the right to make alterations to the match program throughout the duration of the tournament
PRIZES
All participants will be awarded a diploma. The teams reaching the finals will receive cups and medals. Prizes will be awarded after each final.No game is played for the third prize.
Every team leader is responsible to check for changes in the programme.
