How do I register my team?
You can register your team directly here at our web site. Please note that the team won’t be registered in the tournament until the registration fee has been paid. The team should pay the entry fee at the same time as the application but no later than April 20th.
The entry fee is binding and non-refundable. Because different countries pay in different currency we have decided not to put any prices on our web site. Please contact us in case you have any questions!
The participant fee includes the following:
- School accommodation from Monday July 11 to Saturday July 16
- Transfer to/from the school from airport or Frederikshavn harbour
- Full board with three meals per day from dinner July 11 to lunch July 16
- Free transfer during the week with the Dana Cup buses.
- Discount to Fårup Sommerland.
- Discount on several activities and tourist sites during Dana Cup No.1
- Discount on the Dana Cup No.1 disco
Do you pay even if you don't stay at school?
Yes. Teams with other accommodation pay a smaller participant fee for the tournament. This gives them the same discounts as all other participants and the fee covers the costs for the fields, the referees and the administration costs.
Can you stay any supplementary nights in connection to the tournament?
Yes. If the team needs to stay one night before- or one night after the tournament there are usually no problems but please note that no meals will be served during these days.
When is Dana Cup No.1 finished?

Are the players insured by the tournament?
No. It is very important that every player makes sure that he/she is covered in case of injury. In some cases the players are covered by the club or by the parents but it is in the responsibility of the player not the tournament.
How many players are allowed in each team?
There are no limits to the number of players in a team. Each team playing 11-a-side is entitled to use a maximum of 16 players. Teams playing 7-a-side is entitled to use a maximum of 12 players. It is permitted to substitute and reinstate players. Please note that this is not valid for the oldest age category, B18, where it's not allowed for substitutes players to re-enter the field. However, such changes should be carried out with the acknowledgement of the referee and only during interrupted play. It is permitted to use a player in more than one team but not in the same age class.
Is it possible to play with the same team in different age categories?
Yes. A team has the right to participate in two different age categories and pays in this case a double entry fee. It is very important to notice the organiser about this well in advance so that matches for the team in different classes are not held at the same time. We can see to that there are not two matches at the same time but there is a risk that you will have to go from a match in one class directly to a match in the other class.
Is it possible to borrow players from another team in the same club?
Yes. If one club comes with several teams it is allowed to have younger players participating in the older team. All players must be in the team list from the beginning and thus some players might be on several lists. It is not allowed to borrow players from a team in the same age category.
Is it allowed to borrow players from other clubs?
No.
Are age dispensations allowed?
Dispensations will automatically be given to 2 players per team (participant's list) who are maximum one year older that the age category admits. A third over aged player can participate if the team can present a valid dispensation from their local football association. Maximum 2 over aged players on the fields at the same time. In the category B16, teams from countries that still use the 1st of August-limit (mainly USA and England) may also use players 5 months older than the age class admits."
Why must all players show their passports?
Dana Cup No.1 is an international youth soccer tournament. In accordance with all other international events of this kind it is obligatory to show the passport in order to prove their age to avoid over aged players to get a advantage while playing with younger teams. Please start applying for passport and visas and cases when this is necessary as soon as you have decided to participate in our tournament. Sometimes it might take a couple of month before having it all! Team not being able to show all passports before the first match will automatically be disqualified.
